Travel disclosure statements filed with the Commission are open records under North Dakota law.
Under N.D. Admin. Code section 115-06-01-02, within fifteen (15) days of completed third party sponsored travel, public officials shall file a travel disclosure statement with the Ethics Commission providing details on the travel. Notice does not constitute approval of the travel by the Ethics Commission. If an official is concerned with compliance with North Dakota law and Ethics rules, the sponsor may request an advisory opinion from the ethics commission.
Travel disclosure statements filed with the Commission are publicly accessible within 3 business days of the submission.
