Bismarck N.D. - The North Dakota Ethics Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Jared Huibregtse (pronounced: Hue-Brights) as its newest commissioner. Mr. Huibregtse brings a unique and valued perspective to the Commission based on his many years of public and military service. He was appointed on December 16, 2025, with his term commencing at that time. Mr. Huibregtse’s appointment is a four-year term.

Jared Huibregtse is a native of Pipestone, Minnesota.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management in 2011 and Master of Science in Emergency Management in 2014, both from North Dakota State University.  He also received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary in 2021.

In April 2023, Jared completed more than eleven honorable years of service in the North Dakota Army National Guard, where he proudly served as a logistics officer and reached the rank of Captain.

Jared currently works full time as a Project Manager for Bartlett & West in Bismarck, where his responsibilities encompass both technical and non-technical roles. He previously worked at the North Dakota Department of Water Resources and remains actively engaged in various organizations, including the Missouri Slope United Way and the North Dakota Chapter of the American Water Works Association. He also held the position of Treasurer for the National Guard Association of North Dakota.

Jared and his wife, Jenna, live in Mandan with their two young children and make family time a priority as much as possible. He volunteers as a teeball coach with Mandan Parks & Rec and looks forward to staying actively involved in his children’s activities in the years ahead.

Mr. Huibregtse’s public and volunteer service demonstrate a deep commitment to his community and the people of North Dakota. He brings both governmental and leadership experience to the Commission.  The Commission is excited to have Jared serve as its newest member.

Commissioners are appointed by consensus agreement of the governor, the majority leader of the senate, and the minority leader of the senate. The Commission wishes to thank Governor Armstrong, Majority Leader Hogue, and Minority Leader Hogan for appointing Mr. Huibregtse.
