FMWF Chamber of Commerce
Private Social and Educational Event
On Wednesday, February 18th, the FMWF Chamber will host an educational social event in conjunction with the Midwest Economic Outlook Summit, which takes place on Thursday, February 19th.
This year’s Midwest Economic Outlook Summit will bring together thought leaders, industry experts, and policymakers to provide focused, data‑informed insights on the economic forces shaping the region. Through a variety of presentation formats, speakers will highlight emerging trends related to inflation, labor market conditions, workforce participation, housing and childcare, technology adoption, and global trade pressures.
The pre-event function provides an opportunity to bring together key stakeholders, including summit sponsors, speakers, as well as business and community leaders from across the region to engage in substantive dialogue, information sharing, and discussions relevant to the economy.
The event will include verbal remarks from FMWF Chamber staff, summit speakers, and sponsors on emerging trends for the economy, previewing the following day’s agenda and content. Attendees will be encouraged to discuss key economic issues, industry challenges, and regional opportunities with fellow attendees. It is not intended for lobbying of elected officials to take place at the event.
Event materials and FMWF Chamber-focused materials will be available throughout the event. These materials will outline the Chamber’s mission, membership, and programs, particularly as they relate to business and regional economic development.
The overall goal of the event is to foster a deeper understanding of the business and policy landscape surrounding the economy in the Midwest, while supporting constructive dialogue between public- and private-sector leaders.
