Educational Component Description
Attendees will participate in an educational tour of the NDeavor Barry D. Batcheller Technology Park focused on North Dakota’s innovation, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and technology commercialization ecosystem.
The program will provide participants with an overview of NDeavor’s public-private partnership model and its collaboration with North Dakota State University to support research commercialization, startup development, and economic growth. Participants will learn about resources available to entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and industry partners, including innovation programming, business incubation, and commercialization support.
The tour will include educational presentations and demonstrations highlighting rapid prototyping, digital fabrication, engineering design, workforce development initiatives, student engagement opportunities, and the development of technology solutions addressing challenges in agriculture, defense, and other priority industries. Attendees will observe examples of product development processes, technical demonstrations, and collaborative projects involving industry, higher education, and government partners.
The event is intended to educate participants on the innovation pipeline in North Dakota, including how ideas move from research and concept development through prototyping, commercialization, and deployment, as well as the role of partnerships in supporting economic development and technology advancement across the state.
